Y5 Visit to Queen Mary's Grammar School

Y5 Visit to Queen Mary's Grammar School

Six Year 5 pupils and one Year 6 pupil went to Queen Mary's Grammar School on Thursday 22nd March to find out what a normal morning is like at that school. They attended assembly, met the Head Teacher and the Head Boy as well as some other staff and prefects. They had a tour of the school and were very impressed by the RAF cadet training opportunities, the swimming pool and the design lab where they made personalised key rings. They also joined Year 7 in a drama lesson about using our voice, mime and body to convey a message to an audience. It was a very interesting and inspiring morning- the boys all commented that it would be a great school to get in to; we hope that they will be successful in this. Thank you to the Head of Year 7 who arranged the visit as part of our work at Barcroft on goals and aspirations.
